Paul Fischer classical guitar for sale

Paul Fischer Simplicio Spruce Satinwood

Paul Fischer Simplicio Spruce Satinwood 640

Paul Fischer should need little introduction as he has produced world class guitars, both for David Rubio as outlined in Paul's autobiography 'Against the Grain,' and subsequently under his own name.  in addition he has inspired other luthiers such as Christopher Dean who have gone on to be world class in their own right.  Paul's guitars are owned and played by some of the leading artists in the world.

Paul build this 2008 Simplicio guitar as a special commission so its scale length and nut size are non-standard at 640mm and 51mm.  As such it would suit a player with slightly smaller hands.  Satinwood has similar sound properties to Maple and was the wood of choice for instrument builders for many years, though it can be difficult to work.  Paul has produced an outstanding guitar using the highest quality Satinwood with a premium quality Spruce top.  His signature Fleur de Leys rosette design is repeated on the bridge and the purfling features incredible detail.  Paul chose to use his Taut bracing system for the guitar and engraved silver Rodgers tuners complete the line up.  The sound is an interesting combination of the Simplicio sound hole and Taut bracing which combine to give a bright but mature sound with very good projection.  Paul only made about nine Simplicio copies, with some having two sound holes rather then one.  This is the only 640 version of the one hole Simplicio which he made and so is a unique guitar which would grace any collection or appeal to a player wanting an interesting guitar with an excellent sound.
