Stephen Eden classical guitar for sale

ON HOLD Stephen Eden NEW Grand Concert, Spruce Indian Rosewood

Stephen Eden NEW Grand Concert Spruce Indian Rosewood 650mm scale

Stephen is one of the younger generation of UK luthiers who are forging international reputations for the quality of their workmanship and the tone and balance of their instruments.  Stephen makes a number of classical models - his entry level Cadenza, a Concert model, a Grand Concert model  and at the top of his range Hauser II 1959 and Friederich 1980 Bench copies.  His European outlet is Siccas Guitars.

The guitar offered for sale is Stephen's Grand Concert model, which is the highest in his line of straight concert guitars.  The guitar is in new unplayed condition.  The description given by Stephen on his web site provides the clearest description of the guitar and its qualities and I can do no better then quote his comments

'The Grand Concert is Stephen's double sided model, which is a cross between Spanish Granadan and Daniel Friederich style guitars. He has great respect for Master Luthier Daniel Friederich and loves the sound of his guitars; so Stephen decided to develop his own take on Friederich's style of build. These guitars are not direct replications, but like the Friederich guitars Stephen likes so much, they are similarly crafted with extra attention to the construction of the sides. Composing of two normal thicknessed sides adhered together which by doing so creates a very rigid structure. Along with with a thinner but more rigidly braced top the result is a louder and higher projecting guitar with great sustain and depth.

This guitar will provide you with an impressive Spanish sound with more control and focus on the fundamental of the note. Plain Scheller tuners, with your choice of plate/buttons, come as standard giving the guitarist sublime quality in tuning.'

A very fine guitar which will open up further in due time to be a very high quality instrument
